The Most Fuel Efficient Nissan Vehicles

May 19th, 2023 by

Gas prices are always a concern for the public, and in recent years, the increased cost has helped move a lot of consumers towards the electric car market. Thankfully, car manufacturers have begun to take notice of the stress at gas stations, and there has been a noticeable shift of focus to fuel economy and good gas mileage. Nissan is one such manufacturer, with several Nissan models reaching incredible fuel economy ratings in recent years, even without an electric motor.

What is Good Gas Mileage?

In general, getting at least 23 mpg combined tends to mean that you are getting above-average fuel efficiency. That being said, there are several vehicles that have an EPA estimated efficiency above 30 mpg combined, blowing away most of the competition.

The Top Four Nissan Performers

Below are the top four Nissan Models in terms of gas mileage:

  • Nissan Versa – 32 mpg in the city / 40 mpg on the highway / 35 mpg combined

  • Nissan Kicks – 31 mpg in the city / 36 mpg on the highway / 33 mpg combined

  • Nissan Leaf – 114 mpg in the city / 94 mpg on the highway / 104 mpg combined

  • Nissan Ariya – 109 mpg in the city / 94 mpg on the highway / 101 mpg combined

These four models show two different types of vehicles, gas-powered and electrically charged, that provide drivers with an incredible range. The Nissan Leaf’s gas mileage stands out above the rest as Nissan’s most efficient vehicle, but when it comes to gas-powered cars, the Versa offers a range that nearly rivals that of plug-in hybrids.
